Roadmap for Buyers

Greener Grass Ahead
There’s a lot involved with buying a home, all the way from getting preapproved to signing on the dotted line and finally getting those keys in your hands. But perhaps the most important part of the process is finding the right people to guide you along the way. We’ll walk you through each step:

Meet your Shannon Rollings Real Estate Agent.
Your agent is your partner in the trenches. Together you’ll have a frank conversation about what you’re looking for in a home, your budget, and the housing market.

Speed is everything when it comes to nabbing the house you want before it pops off the market, which is why we’re constantly refreshing our site.

Tour homes in person.
Good news: It takes the average buyer only five viewings to find the right home. Your agent will be looking for quick feedback from you so they can move when it’s time to make a decision.

Make an offer.
We’ll help you balance what you’re willing to pay with what the seller is looking for, in order to make a compelling offer that you’re comfortable with. FYI: Be prepared to write an earnest money check, which is usually about 1% of the offer price.

Congrats!
You’re almost there. Once your offer is accepted, we’ll help you choose an inspector to check for any major issues with the home. We’ll introduce you to our expert closing professionals, who will help you negotiate any necessary repairs.

Double-check the value.
Your lender will order an appraisal on your behalf to make sure you’re not overpaying for the home. If the appraisal comes back lower than the sale price, we’ll renegotiate.

Pop the champagne.
Once your loan is approved and you’re cleared to close, go ahead and celebrate.

Seal the deal.
It’s closing time! You’ll bring your official ID and a cashier’s check for the down payment and closing costs. You’ll sign a whole bunch of paperwork. And then the keys are yours!

We love our clients!
Many home owners move in 3-5 years and we would love to serve you now and again in the future. We host Past Client Parties and have giveaways throughout the year as a way to say thank you for your business.
