With so many staying home during COVID, we are seeing a lot of renovation going on in the CSRA. You probably won’t be that surprised about some of the most popular renovation trends, but you might not have noticed that white paint on any type of home—be it brick or siding—is very in style right now. White is timeless, beautiful, and very easy to touch up and clean.

We’re also seeing bronze or darker colored gutters on houses instead of just the standard white or copper. If you have to replace your windows, now might be the time to think about bronze windows with thinner grids and bigger window panes. These look amazing against a white exterior.

We’ve also noticed a lot of wood shutters, front porch ceilings, and even columns on the front of the home, which can add just a little more warmth to the property.

Statement garage doors are also popular right now, especially when they take up so much real estate across the front of your home. No longer are they just the traditional, standard white panel doors.

Cozy sitting areas on the front porch or somewhere in the front yard are a charming trend that’s getting popular. Many people have been adding porches, extending them, or even extending overhangs above their porch.

If you’re thinking about making a big change to the exterior of your home, take of picture of your property along with a photo idea of something you’re thinking about doing, and I’ll let you know if it’s a good idea to go through with it in terms of your home’s value.
