There is a lot going on in the CSRA this month. Before we get to the full list of events, I wanted to take a moment to introduce Michael Ford of Support 1. He’s here to talk a little bit about the great organization he’s involved with and their upcoming cornhole tournament.
The 6th annual Bags for Badges Cornhole Tournament is coming up on October 27th and 28th. All of the proceeds from this event go to Support 1, a nonprofit volunteer organization that provides critical incident stress management for police, firefighters, EMS personnel, and 911 dispatchers across the CSRA and beyond.
On October 27th, there will be a $10 blind buy-in for the Friday night tournament. For the big tournament on the 28th, there is a pre-registration fee of $60 ($75 on the day of) for the tournament that begins at noon. Registration starts at 10:30 a.m. and the winner will get a $2,000 cash prize. The runner-up will get $1,000 and third place will get $500. To get more information on this event, visit the Support 1 website here.
