One of my favorite things about being in the real estate business is that I get to stay abreast of the current trends. However, I realize not everyone is exposed to this, so I wanted to share a list of things you might want to consider if you’re building a home, renovating, or just updating a room.
One noticeable trend we are seeing is the rise of natural elements and long-lasting materials. Not only will you create beautiful spaces, but they will also stand the test of time. One thing we’re seeing a lot right now is the modern farmhouse look. The rocking chair front porch, aged bricks, and a classy front door gives a beautiful look. Other natural materials we are seeing include stone in the foyer and bathrooms, wood beams and columns, wood accents on the ceiling, and beautiful hardwood floors. Dark hardwood isn’t as popular now because it shows lint easily. Grays and beiges have become very popular for paint colors and furnishings.
