The next time you’re in downtown Augusta, Georgia and you’re in the mood for a snack and juice stop, I highly recommend you stop in at Humanitree House. I recently had the chance to sit down and talk with owner Denise Tucker and talk about all this lovely cafe has to offer.
Located at 305 8th Street, the inspiration behind the name “Humanitree House” came from series of artworks created by Denise’s husband, which combined trees, nature, and human beings. That theme is more than just a name, though. They also incorporate it into their business by keeping their ingredients as close to the Earth as possible.

All of their juices are cold-pressed, which means the original produce is pressed in order to extract the juices from it to give the juice a larger yield and a longer shelf life. In addition to juice, Humanitree House features a great menu of delicious food, including tuna wraps, grain-based substitute wraps, kale salads, and the only beet-based vegan burger in the city—a recipe Denise herself took four years to develop.
Humanitree House is open from Tuesday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 9:30 to 5:30. They also do quite a bit of catering since they are one of the very few vegan caterers in the city.
For more information on Humanitree House, including their menu, catering and delivery services, and their upcoming events, be sure to check out their website. I know I’ll be ordering our next staff lunch from here!
