I’ve been getting the same question from a lot of different people lately. They all want to know whether selling their home in the fall is a good idea or not.
I have two major reasons why it’s still a good time to sell your home in Augusta.
- Interest rates are still extremely low, and they’re not going to drop any further. By the fourth quarter of 2016, the average interest rate is projected to be 4.85%. As a buyer, you should take advantage of these historically low rates while you can. You have an opportunity to save thousands of dollars over the lifetime of your loan. Every second you wait, your buying power is decreasing.
- Another factor is the number of homes available. In Augusta right now our inventory is fairly low in comparison to the summer. With less competition you have a better chance of selling quickly and for top dollar.
One other thing that you’ll find when selling in the fall is that buyers are much more motivated to push a deal through to closing. This means that you will have a quicker and easier sale process.
Please don’t hesitate to contact me if you want to sell your Augusta home this fall. The key is to get started right now!
I look forward to hearing from you.
