Do you need to sell your home in order to buy a new one? Are you also wondering how it can all possibly take place on the same day?

Most people in our market do need to be able to sell their current home to buy a new one. Here’s how that process will work. First, we will sit down with a lender to see if that’s the route you need to go. Then we’ll get your house on the market, start the search for a new home, and keep track of things from there. 

 

A rent-back will really allow you to take your time on your home search.

 

Once your current home goes under contract, we can write an offer on a new home that’s contingent upon the close of your current home’s sale and schedule them both to close on the same day. 

It’s really not that complicated of a process, but there is more than one option. If it’s possible, you can negotiate a rent-back agreement that will allow you to take your time on your home purchase, but that requires participation on both sides and isn’t quite as common in our market.
