If you know that you’re going to be moving in the next two to six months, go ahead and start packing up all the little things you don’t use on a regular basis, such as your spare closet full of blankets or the extra dishes that you only use once a year. Pack it up now; you’ll appreciate it once you move.
    2. They underestimate the amount of time it takes to pack and prepare. I know when my husband and I recently renovated our closet, we thought we could get everything moved a couple hours before the workers came to change the shelving. This was a big mistake.
    3. They think they can do it all by themselves. The moving process requires a lot of resources, so recruit your family, bribe your friends, or hire someone to help you do the packing.
