People move for many reasons: Marriage, work, children, school, etc. However, as most people get older, they want to or need to shrink the size of the property they’re living in and maintaining day after day.

Making the decision to downsize into a smaller home, retirement home, or assisted living can be difficult. If you’ve lived in a home for decades, you have probably accumulated a lot of things over the years and now you have all of this stuff.

I found this book to be super helpful.

I recently read a book called “Downsizing the Family Home” by Marni Jameson. Whether you’re cleaning out your own home or a loved one’s, Marni helps guide you through the emotional journey of downsizing by sharing her personal experience in this process as well as expert insight from antique appraisers, garage gurus, professional organizers, and psychologists.

I found this book to be super helpful and I want to help some of you who are in a similar position. For the first 20 people who send me an email and think that this would be a helpful read, I’ll buy you a copy and send it on over.

If you have any other questions for me in the meantime, don’t hesitate to give me a call or send me an email. I would love to hear from you.
