I was recently asked by a seller if it was a good idea for them to list their home in the fall. Here are three reasons why I answered, “Yes it is.”
1. Competition. During the spring and summer months, there is a lot of it on the real estate market. In the fall, things aren’t as active. As a seller, it allows you to have more leverage, a quicker sale, and possibly more money for your home.

2. Buyers are motivated. The market isn’t completely devoid of buyers right now. In fact, there are quite a few of them out there. The ones that are out there right now probably want to be in their new home by the holidays. When you know that buyers are working with a deadline, it gives you even more leverage as a seller.
3. Interest rates are low. A lot more buyers than usual are out looking for homes right now because interest rates are projected to go up by the end of the year. They want to lock in lower rates now.
