I’ve been asked by a lot of people lately if right now is a good time to sell a home. If you’re thinking about putting your home on the market in the next few months, I have good news. Right now, there’s a lot of buyer activity in our market, along with higher prices and lower interest rates. This makes now a fantastic time to sell.

With fewer homes on the market, you’ll have less competition. This will drive prices up, and who doesn’t want more money?

The spring market is more active, but there are also a lot of tire-kickers out there who aren’t that serious about purchasing a home. The buyers in the market right now are serious buyers because they’re taking time away from their family to look at homes.

Worried about your home not looking as good in the winter months? Envision someone walking through your house while its decorate for the holidays and imagining themselves there. Last year, we put a house up for sale that took three months to decorate and we were immediately flooded with calls.

You can limit showings on holidays and delay your closing until early 2020.

Worried about showing your home during Christmas and New Year’s? Don’t be. You can limit showings on those days, and you probably won’t have to show your home at night either. You won’t have to move during the holidays either because you likely won’t close until January or February.

If your home has a pool, it could especially stand out in this market. Right now, there are very few homes with pools available, but buyers are looking for them.

If you have any questions about your specific situation or about real estate  in general, don’t hesitate to give us a call or send us an email. We would love to hear from you soon.
