Here are two great tips for homeowners as a holiday treat.
In the spirit of the holiday season, today I want to share two tips to help out homeowners:
1. Don’t overburden your circuits. The No. 1 cause of house fires during the holidays is overburdened circuits due to people plugging in a wide array of decorations and lights. Another big cause of fires this time of year is leaving candles burning in the house when people are asleep. Don’t ever leave the house when candles are burning, and be sure to blow them out before bed.

2. Increase the policy you have on your home. Everybody knows that prices have gone up, but many people don’t think about the fact that their home values have gone up. Because values are on the rise, shop around for insurance providers who can increase the coverage you have for your home and get you the best rate.
