5 Renovation Projects You Should Do for the CSRA:

  1. Curb appeal is everything. Make sure the front looks fabulous. Pressure wash, fresh pine straw, clean front door or paint to make it pop.

  2. Clean or replace your garage door. Whatever you have to do to make it look good.

  3. Refresh your kitchen. Not a complete overhaul. Replace hardware - matte black or brushed nickel or gold. Change out the countertops to a neutral quartz or granite. Fresh coat of paint on your cabinets if they’re dinged up.

  4. Floor plan. Do you have different flooring in the foyer, living room, kitchen, and dining room making the areas look boxy and closed off? If you can change out the flooring in all of your main living areas to luxury vinyl plank flooring that looks like hardwood, do it! That will create a seamless flow throughout your home and you’ll get an excellent return on your investment!

  5. Paint interiors. The beige of the 90s is OUT. Dove White is a wonderful, neutral color that goes with everything and it isn’t too white. There’s also a coffee white color that is popular, and Agreeable Gray could probably work as well as a neutral tone.

projects you should not waste your money on:

  1. Pool install. If you’re going to do it, do it for yourself and stay long enough to be able to enjoy it. There’s so many different types and just know that you will not get 100% return on investment.

  2. Luxury items. Example: steam showers. Do it for yourself, not for return on investment.

  3. Converting a garage into a man-cave. You’ve reduced your buyer pool and a man-cave is very specific to a niche group of buyers.
