The facility is surrounded by ball fields for the many city sponsored programs. Don’t forget the Savannah River is great place to water ski, fish, and kayak. North of the city, the Sumter National Forest offers ample camping, hunting, mountain biking and hiking opportunities.
The growing arts community is anchored by the Arts and Heritage Center which is located in the new Municipal Center. The Center features the work of regional artists and also includes historical exhibits relative to North Augusta. Additionally, the City hosts some of events for the annual Westobou Festival, which is a 10-day Augusta based festival celebrating excellence in the arts.
